Village Fete Fun

We had a lovely day at the Museum of English Rural Life‘s village fete.  So much to see and do; traditional games and morris dancers, rare breed sheep and tractors, hog roast, local brews, cordial and cake, special guests from The Archers and lots of traditional crafts.

Bonnie enjoyed the Morris dancers.

Lovely Skein Queen had a stand with her beautiful hand dyed yarns.

Felix the Not-so-Intrepid Fox hanging out with the skeins.

It was an all day event and the weather was perfect.

Cooling off in the shade with an ice cream.

There was a fantastic atmosphere with a real cheerful community feel. For various reasons we nearly didn’t go, but I’m glad we did!

  1. I’m glad you came too – Mr Fox was much admired (as was the Highbury vest) and I kept pointing you out to people who asked – only you were dashing about so much looking after the girls that every time I looked up, you were off in another direction!! It was a lovely day.
